Summary:We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our Service Group as Instrumentation & Control Engineering Tower Lead. In this role, you will be responsible for leading and managing the Instrumentation & Control Engineering Tower, within the Service Group which provides engineering services for EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) contractors in the Oil & Gas industry. You will oversee the operations, projects, and personnel of the Instrumentation & Control Engineering Tower, while also interfacing with our home office in Italy, where our clients reside. Your expertise in Instrumentation & Control engineering, leadership abilities, and cross-cultural communication skills will be essential in ensuring successful project execution and maintaining strong client relationships. Responsibilities:1.Lead and manage the Instrumentation & Control Engineering Tower, providing strategic direction, guidance, and support to the team. 2.Define the organization of the Tower and the manpower needs, collaborating with the Engineering Domain Lead to determine recruitment plans, specific requirements, and managing the selection and recruitment processes in coordination with the HR Department. 3.Oversee the execution of Instrumentation & Control engineering projects, ensuring adherence to quality, safety, and project objectives. 4.Serve as the primary point of contact and interface with our Instrumentation & Control engineering team in the Italian home office, collaborating closely with the client to understand project requirements, resolve technical issues, and ensure timely project deliverables. 5.Develop and implement Tower strategies, goals, and objectives aligned with the company's vision and client expectations. 6.Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment within the department, promoting teamwork, knowledge sharing, and professional development. 7.Allocate resources effectively, including personnel, software, and hardware, to ensure optimal project delivery. 8.Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the Instrumentation & Control engineering team, promoting continuous learning and skill development. 9.Review and approve engineering deliverables, including design drawings, specifications, calculations, and reports. 10.Ensure compliance with industry codes, standards, and regulations related to Instrumentation & Control engineering design and construction. 11.Collaborate with other departments, such as Civil & Structural/Structural Engineering, Piping Engineering, to ensure seamless integration and coordination of project activities. 12.Monitor and control project budgets, schedules, and resource utilization, taking corrective actions as necessary to ensure project success. 13.Conduct regular project reviews, assessing performance, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing corrective measures. 14.Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs, addressing concerns, and providing technical support. 15. Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and advancements in Instrumentation & automation engineering practices. 16.Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards. 17.Foster effective communication channels with the home office in Italy, providing regular updates, reports, and addressing inquiries in a timely manner. 18.Adhere to confidentiality requirements and safeguard sensitive project and client information. 19.Report to the Engineering Domain Lead and provide regular updates about the status of projects, highlighting issues, and proposing corrective actions.
Qualifications and Skills:1.Bachelor's degree in electronic or Instrumentation & Control system Engineering or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred. 2.Extensive experience (12+ years) in Instrumentation & Control engineering within the Oil & Gas industry and EPC contractors. 3.Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools. 4.Excellent cross-cultural communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interface with the home office in Italy and build strong client relationships. 5.Proactive and results-oriented mindset, with a focus on delivering high-quality projects on time and within budget. 6.Strong leadership and decision-making abilities, with the capacity to inspire and motivate a diverse team. 7.Proficiency in using Instrumentation and Control engineering software and tools, such as Smart Plant Instrumentation or similar. 8.Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to address complex technical challenges. 9.Knowledge of relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations and practices in the Oil & Gas industry. 10.Ability to work effectively in a multicultural and multinational environment. 11.Strong business acumen and client-focused approach. As a Instrumentation & Control Tower Lead within our oil & gas engineering services company, your leadership skills and technical expertise will be instrumental in driving the success of our engineering projects. Your ability to effectively interface with our home office in Italy and manage cross-cultural communication will play a key role in building strong client relationships.
