Job Description

JD for Asst. Manager – HR

We are looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented HR professional to oversee frontend HR operations. This role will focus on hiring, training, and managing the performance of our retail staff, ensuring adherence to company policies and operational excellence and handling end-to-end of frontend HR operations at a PAN India level.
The ideal candidate would have experience working for a brand with a large retail network in the branded and service-oriented space

End-to-End HR Process for Frontend Operations

1. Manpower Planning

  • Assess staffing needs based on sales forecasts and business goals.
  • Determine the number and types of positions required for the frontend team.

2. Recruitment

  • Job Description Creation:
    • Develop clear and compelling job descriptions for each position.

  • Sourcing Candidates:
    • Use various channels (job boards, social media, local events) to attract potential candidates.

  • Screening:
    • Review resumes and applications to shortlist candidates.

  • Interviews:
    • Conduct interviews, assessing both skills and cultural fit.

  • Selection:
    • Make hiring decisions based on interviews and assessments.

3. Onboarding

  • Pre-Onboarding:
    • Send offer letters and collect necessary documentation (ID, tax forms, etc.).

  • Induction Program:
    • Introduce new hires to company culture, values, policies, and procedures.

  • Training:
    • Provide initial training on products, sales techniques, and customer service expectations.

4. Training & Development

  • Ongoing Training:
    • Schedule regular training sessions on product knowledge, sales skills, and customer engagement.

  • Performance Workshops:
    • Conduct workshops focused on enhancing team skills and addressing areas for improvement.

5. Performance Management

  • KPI Setting:
    • Establish clear KPIs aligned with business goals (sales targets, customer satisfaction, etc.).

  • Monitoring Performance:
    • Regularly assess employee performance against KPIs through reviews and feedback sessions.

  • Feedback Mechanism:
    • Provide continuous feedback and support to help employees improve.

6. Attendance Management

  • Tracking Attendance:
    • Implement a system to monitor daily attendance, leaves, and punctuality.

  • Addressing Issues:
    • Manage absenteeism and tardiness according to company policies.

7. Compliance & Standards

  • Grooming Standards:
    • Communicate and enforce grooming and dress code standards.

  • SOP Adherence:
    • Ensure that all employees are trained on and comply with Standard Operating Procedures.

8. Incentives & Compensation

  • Incentive Programs:
    • Design and manage incentive programs based on performance metrics.

  • Salary Management:
    • Address salary queries and ensure timely salary disbursements.

9. Uniform Management

  • Uniform Issuance:
    • Oversee the issuance of uniforms and maintain inventory.

  • Compliance Monitoring:
    • Regularly check compliance with uniform standards and address non-compliance.

10. Reporting & Documentation

  • Record Keeping:
    • Maintain accurate HR records for attendance, performance, and training.

  • Performance Reports:
    • Prepare and present regular reports to management on employee performance and operational metrics.

11. Employee Engagement & Retention

  • Surveys & Feedback:
    • Conduct employee satisfaction surveys and act on feedback.

  • Recognition Programs:
    • Implement employee recognition initiatives to boost morale and engagement.

12. Exit Management

  • Resignation Process:
    • Manage exit interviews and collect feedback to improve the workplace.

  • Offboarding:
    • Ensure a smooth transition for departing employees, including final paperwork and knowledge transfer.



Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in HR operations, preferably in retail or apparel environments.
  • Strong understanding of HR best practices and employment laws relevant to the retail industry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Skills:

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced retail environment.
  • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to handle sensitive situations with discretion.
