About the Role

Join our dynamic Accounting team at Abnormal Security as a Staff Accountant. We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our finance team, focusing on accounts payable. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate and timely processing of vendor invoices and payments, maintain financial records, and assist in month-end closing activities.

What you will do

• Invoice Processing: Review, code, and process vendor invoices in a timely manner.
• Payment Management: Prepare and execute payment runs, ensuring all payments are processed accurately and on schedule.
• Vendor Reconciliation: Maintain vendor accounts, resolve discrepancies, and perform regular reconciliations.
• Expense Reporting: Assist in processing employee expense reports and ensure compliance with company policies.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of all accounts payable transactions and ensure proper documentation.
• Financial Reporting: Support month-end close activities by preparing necessary reconciliations and reports.
• Compliance: Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to resolve issues and improve processes related to accounts payable.
• Foster collaborative relationships with key stakeholders to optimize processes and facilitate scalable operational growth.
• Ad hoc projects

Must Haves

• Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in accounts payable or general accounting.
• Working knowledge of ERP systems such as Sage Intacct, NetSuite, and Coupa.
• Meticulous attention to detail, coupled with the ability to navigate ambiguity and work effectively both independently and collaboratively.
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective interaction with internal and external stakeholders.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
