Senior Lead - Portfolio Management - Financial Institution Group (15-20 yrs)

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic leader to oversee and manage a diverse portfolio of Financial Institution (FI) clients in South India. The successful candidate will be responsible for achieving portfolio-level targets by managing both asset and liability portfolios, including managing relationships with NBFCs, MFIs, Capital Markets, co-op banks, insurance companies, mutual funds, and RTAs. This role involves driving business growth, maintaining high-quality assets, managing a team of senior relationship managers, and promoting cross-selling opportunities through digital banking solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Portfolio Management:

- Oversee and manage an FI book, comprising both assets and liabilities, ensuring strong relationship management and achieving business targets.

Relationship Development & Management:

- Build and manage relationships with a wide range of clients, including NBFCs, MFIs, Capital Markets, Fintechs, co-op banks, insurance companies, and mutual funds in South India.

- Drive new business opportunities and maintain strong ongoing relationships with existing clients.

Business Development:

- Drive cross-selling opportunities through digital banking solutions for FI clients, increasing product adoption and expanding the customer base.

- Identify growth potential and develop strategies to deepen client relationships across multiple financial products and services.

Risk Management:

- Structure and evaluate proposals for NBFCs and Capital Market clients, ensuring risk evaluation procedures are adhered to, and maintaining a zero-delinquency asset portfolio.

- Work closely with internal risk teams to ensure sound credit decisions and proper risk mitigation strategies.

Team Leadership:

- Lead and supervise a team of professionals, ensuring smooth execution of client-related tasks and effective communication within the team.

- Foster a high-performance culture by mentoring team members and ensuring individual and team targets are met.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

- Proven experience in managing FI portfolios, with a focus on asset and liability management.

- Strong understanding of the South Indian financial market landscape, including NBFCs, MFIs, and capital market sectors.

- Ability to structure and evaluate complex credit proposals while maintaining a strong risk management framework.

- Excellent relationship management and negotiation skills with a track record of managing high-value client accounts.

- Experience in driving cross-sell initiatives and digital banking adoption among financial institution clients.

- Strong leadership skills with experience managing teams across multiple regions.
