Job Description
Goals:
Set goals and targets and utilizes KPIs to monitor and improve performance of the Manufacturing and Engineering departments.
Interface with Site Director as a supportive member of the Abbott Nutrition manufacturing management team.
Develop Supplier resilience in collaboration with the SQA team and Supply chain teams
Work closely with the quality fraternity for improvement projects/tasks
Ensure good communication and cooperation by encouraging knowledge sharing and the open exchange of ideas within manufacturing and Engineering departments
Promote and foster good human relations within manufacturing and Engineering departments.
Liaise with Human Resources in the recruitment and selection of personnel, in full compliance with company policies and procedures and local recruitment legislation.
Ensure continued implementation of goals, performance reviews and growth plans as scheduled.
Provide leadership with respect to best practice initiatives such as Class A, CAPA, HACCP and ISO systems.
Actively support preparations for internal finance, quality and EHS audits and external audits to achieve successful results.
Responsibilities:
Interpersonal skills in order to have healthy relationship with colleagues working in different functions at site.
Communication skills in order to understand and provide necessary feedback or solutions to Peers and internal customers.
Strategic thinking in order to go in depth understanding of Manufacturing and Engineering operations and related complex issues and provide the best feasible solutions at all levels
Decision making skills in order to handle the different problems in operations
Education:
Minimum of Bachelors Degree in Science, Engineering or related discipline
Lean/Six Sigma credentials (e.g. Green Belt/Black Belt) an advantage
Background:
Good grasp of manufacturing finance processes.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Good human relation skills in dealing with employees at all levels
The ability to organize, motivate and develop people.
A demonstrated commitment to compliance.
15 years experience in operations positions in a manufacturing environment.
5 years experience at a senior operations management situation.
Background and experience needed to make sound quality-related decisions
