Manager Risk & Underwriting

Role & responsibilities

• Calculate, monitor, and publish claim ratio dashboards.
• Lead discussions with internal stakeholders, insurers, reinsurers, and brokers to strategize and share findings for programs/policies.
• Calculate pricing for new programs/policies while recommending terms, conditions, and warranties.
• Conduct policy-wise risk analysis and collaborate with Business and Product teams for reviews and enhancements.
• Manage renewals and placement of new businesses with insurers, reinsurers, and brokers.
• Prepare program notes for insurers to quote and ensure seamless coordination.
• Build and manage relationships with insurers, reinsurers, and brokers for better program outcomes.

Preferred Candidate Profile:

• 6-8 years of underwriting experience in the insurance or broking industry.
• Strong negotiation, process management, and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail with vendor management experience for SLA delivery.
• Ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
• Preferred age: Up to 32 years.
