Job Description



  • Financial and Credit Analysis for Financial Institutional Group as well as Pharma & Chemical Business.
  • To assess, evaluate and review credit proposals as a first level officer for FIG & Pharma Group involving various products by maintaining the prescribed TAT.
  • Explore the markets and clients to keep updated with the market information and for portfolio monitoring purpose. Do market and peer reference checks on an ongoing basis.
  • Industry analysis to identify right segments to lend to and wrong ones to reduce exposure to
  • Complete ownership of the assigned portfolio including regular monitoring and identification of early stress
  • Perform portfolio reviews, prepare management review decks on an ongoing basis. Participate in policy/ credit program formulations from time to time
  • Appraisal of Proposal:
  • Review credit proposals (CAMs/ Interim CAMS/Ad-hoc CAMs) submitted by business on assigned set of accounts and assess the risk involved comprehensively.
  • To convey a clear opinion regarding the feasibility of the proposed transaction/ proposed facilities, from risk point of view, covering business model, industry risk, structure, financial risk.
  • Awareness of the product proposed and suitability to the client needs
  • Maintaining Complete / accurate CAMs / Coverage and Intensity of Diligence & Adherence to Credit Policy and extant regulatory guidelines
  • Approving cases which follow under assigned authority and recommending others to the appropriate approval authority
  • Portfolio Monitoring:
  • Ongoing monitoring of accounts including tracking developments in the industry and the account to identify stresses early and work with business teams in devising appropriate mitigation strategies wherever required. Advanced detection before SMA / Rating downgrade / default is priority.
  • To identify and closely monitor accounts which are in stress, in order to devise and implement account strategy; Ensure that the covenants & conditions as per sanctioned terms are consistently met;
  • Appropriate level of client calling to develop strong understanding of client business and industry dynamics
  • Performing regular reference checks in the market and with peer banks
  • TAT:
  • Maintaining the defined credit and End to End TATs so as to better service both internal as well as external customers
  • Collaboration with the Stakeholders:
  • To interact with the relationship managers pro-actively to assess the main risks and propose mitigants, at various stages of credit process.
  • Engaging with Credit Operations Team, Legal, Audit, Compliance, IT and other stakeholders as appropriate for all credit processes

MAJOR CHALLENGES :

The NBFC/Pharma segment is susceptible to regulatory and legislative risks Limited Product Suite for a Corporate Borrower considering the vast NBFC space DECISIONS; Approval & Recommendation- Engaging with Business Team for onboarding of clients and setting up exposure limits

Required Qualifications and Experience
a) Qualifications

  • CA/MBA/FRM/CFA
  • Strong technical & analytical skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Expert knowledge in analyzing financial statements.
  • Understanding of accounting principles

b) Work Experience
  • Minimum 10-12 years in credit risk management in wholesale credit
  • Exposure to Banking/ NBFC Preferable/ Credit Rating Agencies
