Job Description

We are seeking a Pune based Business Analyst to join our Legal and Compliance Technology Team in Global Technology & Operations.
 
Role Description
The Business Analyst is a key role for our firm providing business analysis and product management services specifically for our Legal, Compliance, Audit, and Risk Management technologies. The Candidate will be responsible for the Legal Discovery process, and collecting and documenting business requirements, working with internal development teams, managing product and project lifecycles, managing relevant technology vendor relationships, and will serve as the subject matter expert for all applications he/she is responsible for. This Candidate will work closely with business users, from the Legal and Compliance, Audit, and Risk departments, and will interact with internal Technology teams to implement, enhance, and maintain systems and processes.
Key job responsibilities include, but are not limited to
  • Manage and fulfill the Legal Discovery process
  • Serve as a Business Analyst / Product Owner for Legal and compliance, Audit, and Risk departments.
  • Partner w/ senior stakeholders across business, IT, data & quality assurance teams to define enterprise technology solutions & workflow strategy.
  • Conduct business analysis by analyzing complex problems & designing system solutions.
  • Capture business requirements & translate them into IT & system specifications.
  • Improve business processes using tools including MS Excel, Excel macros, MS Access, Visio, SQL database, and others.
  • Research, plan and execute projects including acquisition, upgrading and maintenance of both hardware and software. The scope of the projects could include both the development of new software and significant enhancements/changes to existing pieces of software.
  • Manage third party vendor system implementations as well as in-house systems and ensure timely and effective project delivery.
  • Track all ongoing projects and communicate their status in a timely manner to stakeholders.
  • Develop and manage centralized plan for deliveries based on the business need.
  • Identify and actively manage risks. Ensure the appropriate technology controls are in place.
  • Vendor management of vendor applications. This includes managing the relationship, service level agreements and total cost of ownership.
  • Provide technical support, consulting, training and problem-solving to business users.
  • Establish and document operational and trouble-shooting procedures for use by local technical support personnel.
  • Monitor system performance to ensure system availability and functionality.

Job Qualifications (The ideal candidate should have the following)
Qualifications, Experience, Education
  • Minimum 3 years of Business Analysis and Project/Product Management experience.
  • Bachelor s degree in computer science, information systems, or related area.
  • 2 years of focus in Legal and Compliance, Audit, or Risk related technology experience preferred
  • 3 years of Financial Industry experience preferred
  • Communication: Speak and write English clearly. Excellent communication (verbal and written) and influencing skills. Strong history of partnership with business stakeholders. Client focused with a strong sense of ownership and follow-through

  • Proven ability to work independently as well as with multiple cross-functional teams spanning both business and other technology groups
