Shift In-charge- SMS Process(EAF)

Role & responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate all activities related to the Electric Arc Furnace during assigned shifts.
• Ensure the efficient and safe operation of EAF processes in accordance with established procedures and quality standards.
• Monitor and control the steel melting process, maintaining optimal conditions for quality and productivity.
• Troubleshoot and address any operational issues promptly to minimize downtime and enhance overall efficiency.
• Lead and supervise a team of operators and technicians during the shift.
• Assign tasks, provide guidance, and ensure adherence to safety protocols and operational procedures.
• Collaborate with the Quality Control department to ensure that the steel produced meets required specifications and standards.
• Implement corrective actions to address any deviations from quality norms.
• Maintain accurate records of shift activities, production metrics, and any incidents.
• Prepare shift reports detailing production performance, issues encountered, and resolutions implemented.

Designation: Sr. Engineer/Asst. Manager

Qualifications: Diploma/ B. Tech in Metallurgy or related field.

Experience: 3-5 yrs. of experience in a similar role within a Steel Melting Shop.

Joining Period: 20-30days
