Job Overview:
We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Government Tender Manager to oversee our Government e-Marketplace (GeM) bidding processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing government tenders, customizing bids, conducting market analysis, and determining competitive pricing strategies. The role involves close coordination with the technical team, sales department, and customers to ensure successful tender submissions and compliance with government regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Bid Customization and Submission:
- Collaborate with the technical team to understand product specifications and align them with tender requirements.
- Customize bids based on discussions with the technical team and customer insights.
2. Market Analysis:
- Conduct comprehensive market analysis to understand trends, competition, and government procurement patterns.
- Utilize market insights to develop effective bidding strategies.
3. Pricing Strategy:
- Determine competitive pricing for tenders, ensuring profitability while remaining competitive.
- Monitor and adjust pricing strategies in response to market changes and internal cost factors.
4. Team Management and Coordination:
- Lead and manage a team responsible for preparing and submitting tenders.
- Coordinate effectively with sales and technical teams to gather necessary information and resources.
5. Customer and Stakeholder Engagement:
- Build and maintain relationships with key government customers and stakeholders.
- Understand and anticipate customer needs and requirements for successful bid submissions.
6. Compliance and Reporting:
- Ensure all tenders comply with government regulations and procurement policies.
- Report to the Director of Sales and Government Relations, providing updates on tender activities, outcomes, and market dynamics.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Law, or a related field.
- Proven experience in government tender management, preferably in the GeM context.
- Strong understanding of government procurement processes and regulations.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in team management and cross-departmental coordination.
- Superior communication skills, both written and verbal.
