Job Description

Job Title: Key Accounts Executive Modern Trade

Overview:
The Key Accounts Executive (Modern Trade) is responsible for managing and growing relationships with large retail partners (supermarkets, hypermarkets) to drive sales, ensure product availability, and enhance brand visibility in-store in the assigned area.

Purpose:
To achieve volume and value objectives of the assigned territory within budget, time and policy parameters through effective control of the MT accounts, stores and articles

Location:

  1. South Kerala, Trivandrum (Trivandrum, Kollam)
  2. Central Kerala, Kottayam (Kottayam, Alleppey, Pathanamtitta, Idukki)
  3. North Kerala , Kozhikode ( Kozhikode, Kannur, Malapuram, Kasargod, Wayanad)


Key Responsibilities:
Goals : Achieving targeted category share of business & shelf space in the Key Accounts / outlets.

  • Achieve Store wise Business Goals : MBQ, GRN and offtake targets for the listed brands and SKUs
  • Achieve Store wise Operational Goals OSA, SOS, SOD
  • Operating all Schemes & Promotional Activities (Marketing & Sales) as per prior approvals and discussed during the monthly review meetings with MT Head
  • Understand market trends and competition activities and plan proactively


Team Ops

  • Leading and Reviewing a team of merchandisers and promoters
  • Providing clear Business & Operational Goals to team – Revenue, OSA, SOS, SOD
  • Effective Coordination with Merchandising/Sales/ Store team/ Buying / Category for store executions


Financial Responsibilities

  • Accounts Receivables : Maintain the DSO hygiene
  • Documentation of account / outlet expenses (damages, trade schemes, promotional expenses, visibility expenses) on a monthly basis for audit purposes
    Settling distributor and outlet claims (within stipulated timeframe)


Distributor Responsibilities
Evaluate the performance and health of the distributors with proper Fill rates and OTIF measurables.
Keep daily track of Distributor Secondary to DCs /key accounts

Outlet Accountability
Ensure gold standard merchandising (availability OSA/SOS/ SOD) by optimising Planograms

  • Take ownership of MT stores in the region and visit stores extensively based on outlet classification.
  • Keep track of competition and suggest specific store chain level activities to counter and optimise store traction

Knowledge – Functional

  • Key MT accounts and Outlets with cordial relations with store and buying team.,
  • Knowledge of Excel (advanced)
  • Planning: MT Primary, DC to Stores (Store Inwards), Store Offtakes
  • Marketing Inputs: ROI calculation


Supplementary Skill Sets (if any)

  • Recruit front line team at short notice


Behavioural/Leadership

  • Lead a team of merchandisers and promotors and finalise their operational and business goals


Critical Exposure if any

  • FMCG – Foods

Skills & Qualifications:

  1. Basic degree : graduate
  2. Additional qualifications: MBA
  3. Age (mnm and x=mxm) : 25-35
  4. Linguistic skills : English, Malayalam, Hindi
  5. Experience (mnm & mxm: 3-7 yrs
  6. Nativity preference if any: local area
