General Manager - Plant Head - Operations & Maintenance - Power Generation Sector (15-18 yrs)

The position will oversee the efficient and effective operation and maintenance of a hydropower project. This role involves ensuring the reliability and availability of hydropower generation, managing a team of engineers and technicians, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations. The position will also be responsible for the development and implementation of maintenance strategies, emergency response plans, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Job Requirements/Specification:

- Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering.

- Minimum of 15 years of experience in the power generation sector, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within hydropower operations and maintenance. Strong knowledge of hydropower plant operations, maintenance practices, and safety standards.

- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

Job Description:

- Oversee daily operations of the hydropower plant to ensure optimal performance.

- Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance program.

- Ensure timely and efficient execution of maintenance activities.

- Maintain inventory of critical spare parts and manage procurement process.

- Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental compliance.

- Develop and maintain safety protocols and emergency response plan.

- Prepare, manage the O&M budget, monitor expenses and optimize cost without compromising on quality and safety.
