Land Surveyor

Qualification: Diploma in civil engineering or Diploma in surveying with minimum 5 years experience in total station survey and DGPS survey.

Experience:

Minimum of 5 years of experience as a land surveyor, particularly in boundary marking and road layout projects.

Should have worked in Mountainous region.

Proven expertise in boundary surveying, road alignment, and construction site marking.

Experience with survey software like AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and GPS systems.

Job Overview: The Land Surveyor is responsible for accurately determining and marking property boundaries, road alignments, and easements for construction and development projects. The role involves the use of various surveying instruments to measure land and topographical features, ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory, and project-specific requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Boundary Surveying:

• Conduct precise surveys to establish and mark legal property boundaries in co-ordination with Govt Surveyors.
• Research property records, survey maps, land titles, and other documentation to verify land ownership and boundary lines.
• Prepare detailed reports and boundary maps for use in construction.

2. Road Marking Surveys:

• Perform land surveys for road layouts, including alignments, grading, and elevations.
• Mark accurate points, lines, and grades for road construction, ensuring compliance with design plans and safety regulations.
• Coordinate with the civil engineering team to ensure roadways are developed according to the proposed design and regulations.

3. Field Data Collection:

• Use specialized tools such as GPS, total stations, theodolites, and laser scanners to collect data related to land contours, elevations,boundaries, distances,angles, elevations and co-ordinates.
• Establish benchmarks for horizontal and vertical controls for construction.

4. Data Analysis & Reporting:

• Creating deatailed reports ,KML .KMZ files from survey data
• Process and analyze survey data to produce accurate site plans, topographical maps, and legal descriptions.
• Interpret survey data and provide reports and visual representations for engineers, architects, and planners.

5. Stakeholder Collaboration:

• Work with project managers, engineers, and construction teams to communicate boundary positions, road layouts, for design and construction activities.

6. Maintaining equipment:

• Calibrating and maintaining surveying equipment to ensure accurate measurements
• Ensure proper storage and safety of all survey equipment.

7. Physical & Other Requirements:

• Ability to work in outdoor environments and perform physical tasks like carrying survey equipment.
• Willingness to travel to different project sites and work in varying weather conditions.
• Willing to travel to other parts of the country.
• Valid drivers license for travelling to different sites as directed.
