We are seeking a skilled Forklift Mechanic to contribute to the achievement of our company's objectives by efficiently carrying out a range of mechanical work on forklifts. The ideal candidate will be responsible for general maintenance, servicing, and assisting our company fitters. The Forklift Mechanic will perform routine, emergency, and preventative maintenance, troubleshoot forklift problems, and ensure the work area meets safety requirements. The candidate should embrace the company vision and practice it in all aspects of work while interacting with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Efficiently carry out a range of mechanical work on forklifts using appropriate tools and machines
• Perform general maintenance and servicing of company forklifts
• Assist company fitters in spare time
• Perform routine, emergency, and preventative maintenance of forklifts
• Troubleshoot forklift problems including brake, electrical, and hydraulic systems
• Demonstrate good working knowledge of brake systems and tire/wheel changes
• Ability to work on LP, gas, and diesel systems
• Replace broken or defective parts and reassemble forklifts
• Ensure work area and methods meet safety requirements
• Maintain an organized and neat work area
• Follow health and safety procedures at all times

Key Technical Skills & Knowledge:

• Troubleshooting
• Equipment selection
• Ability to work independently

Education/Qualification:

• Trade certificate in heavy equipment mechanics

Experience:

• 3 years of experience in a related field

• Trade certificate in heavy equipment mechanics
• 3 years of experience in a related field

3 years Contract, if performance good  renewed for another 3 years. In-case contract is renewed, then wages will be increased for a period of another 3 years. Will be given 1 Round Trip Air Fare (India-Fiji-India) free of cost every 3 years. Will get free accommodation in Fiji & free travel to work while fooding cost will be borne by the candidate which is approx. Rs 5,000 per month. Annual Leaves: Sick Leave will be 10 days, Annual Leave will be 10 days per year along with Gazetted Holidays listed by the Govt of Fiji.
