Job Description
SUMMARY
Contribute to the achievement of our companys objective by fulfilling the following:
Efficiently carry out a range of mechanical work on forklifts using the most appropriate tools and machines with minimal repeat jobs and ensuring the breakdowns are contained to the minimum.
General maintenance , servicing of our companys Forklifts.
Assist the our company Fitters in your spare time.
Perform routine, emergency and preventative maintenance of forklifts.
Troubleshoot forklift problems to include brake, electrical and hydraulic systems, detect imperfections, potential problems, safety issues and/or malfunctions.
Good working knowledge of brake systems and tire/wheel changes.
Ability to work on LP, gas and diesel systems.
Replace broken or defective parts from stock parts and/or order replacement parts for major repairs.
Reassemble forklifts and make all necessary adjustments for effective and safe operation.
Ensure work area and methods used in carrying out job duties meet safety requirements
Maintain an organized and neat work area.
Ensure that health and safety procedures are followed at all times.
Embrace the Company Vision and practice it in all aspects of work while performing tasks or when interacting with people internally and/or externally
Requirements Key Technical Skills & Knowledge
Troubleshooting - Determining causes of operating errors and deciding what to do about it
Knowledge in equipment selection - determining the kind of tools and equipment needed to do a job.
Able to carry out jobs independently
Education/Qualification Trade certificate in heavy equipment mechanics
Experience 3 years of experience in a related field.
Benefits 3 years Contract, if performance good renewed for another 3 years.
In-case contract is renewed, then wages will be increased for a period of another 3 years.
Will be given 1 Round Trip Air Fare (India-Fiji-India) free of cost every 3 years.
Will get free accommodation in Fiji & free travel to work while fooding cost will be borne by the candidate which is approx. Rs 5,000 per month.
Annual Leaves: Sick Leave will be 10 days, Annual Leave will be 10 days per year along with Gazetted Holidays listed by the Govt of Fiji.
