Interview preparation tips for other job seekers - This was a logistics company, hence I asked the HR if it's fine even if I'm not from logistics background, and the HR's answer was yes.
She told me they just required someone who can maintain a good relationship with the customers and yes I did. Hence I gave it a go and travelled for 2 hours all the way to the company ( which is not a problem for me ).
I was then called in for the interview with the director. To my surprise, it did not last for even 5 minutes.
I asked him if he wanted to know anything else or if has any questions. His answer was, " there's no point in asking you questions, since you are not from the same background".
Why was I even called for the interview then where I had to travel for 4 hours up and down just for a 5 minute interview.
The HR who contacted me should have been aware of the candidature required or the company should have mentioned it clearly.
I was completely broken that I was rejected since I was confident about getting the job, being customer handling was my strongest point and I desperately looking for such roles, which I couldn't get; since I was from sales background.
Candidates please be informed about the requirements of the comp and save your time for peace of your mind.
