Interview preparation tips for other job seekers - This was the first thing that got thrown my way, right after exchanging pleasantries. The set-up was rather semi-formal and the gentlemen on the other side of the table were super friendly also. This was for one of the product-based Technology companies for the position of HR Business Partner.
I started with a smile and a rather honest reply. The exchange was something like this: " That's an interesting question. My story so far has been quite vanilla with a few flavors of sweet and sour moments. I belong to a very typical middle-class Maharashtrian family, living in Gujarat. So I strongly believe that I had the access to the best of both worlds. As a Gujarati, I grew up knowing, observing, and working with people who were quite enterprising, risk-taking, and having a knack for business orientation. As a Maharashtrian, I have been infused with ethics, integrity, and a natural inclination to work hard. That reflected in a balanced way in almost 5 years of work experience with L&T Power. I grew up to be a professional from a novice aspirant with this experience. Post my marriage in the month of November last year, I shifted to Pune and started another interesting chapter of my story and I am actually on the very initial pages of it. Hoping it turns out as blissful as I think it would. And I think AxWar (Name changed for the company I was getting interviewed for) would be an amazing chapter to start this story with. "
