Interview preparation tips for other job seekers - Piramal Discovery Solutions, in Ahmedabad is a CRO (contract based research organisation) company works in Medicinal chemistry (Drug discovery) and Organic molecules synthesis- divisions of chemistry so that we must have basic to advanced organic chemistry knowledge. First MCQ based exam was taken
and after passing that level there was interview with one of the Senior Principal Scientist of Piramal Discovery Solutions which was finished in around half an hour. One who wants to pass the interview and want work in PDS or any other CROs or in R&D department of pharma companies should have concepts clear in Organic Chemistry for example Name reactions and other reactions and functional group conversions, multistep synthesis, basic heterocyclic chemistry, Stereochemistry, and in Analytical chemistry-TLC, LC-MS, Mass and NMR spectroscopy, HPLC, skills of Purification and Crystallization...and basics in chemistry you have studied till your Masters and PhD.
