I applied via Campus Placement and was interviewed in Dec 2021. There were 3 interview rounds.

Round 1 - Coding Test

Our first round test consists of all the aptitude reasoning questions along with technical and coding questions. Coding questions has very less time and should be written only in java language. Coding level is in between easy to moderate.

Round 2 - Technical

(9 Questions)

  • Q1. Technical questions asked by the panel are moderate. They mostly asked on java, SQL and data models. This round was almost 45min.
  • Q2. Oops concepts in java
  • Ans.

    Oops concepts are the pillars of Java programming language.

    • Encapsulation - wrapping data and methods into a single unit

    • Inheritance - acquiring properties and behavior of parent class

    • Polymorphism - ability of an object to take many forms

    • Abstraction - hiding implementation details and showing only necessary information

  • Q3. Why java is platform independent
  • Ans.

    Java is platform independent due to its bytecode and JVM.

    • Java code is compiled into bytecode which is platform independent

    • JVM (Java Virtual Machine) interprets the bytecode and executes it on any platform

    • JVM acts as a layer between the code and the underlying operating system

    • This allows Java programs to run on any platform without any modification

    • Example: A Java program compiled on Windows can run on Linux or Mac witho

  • Q4. Difference between java and c,c++
  • Ans.

    Java is a high-level programming language while C and C++ are low-level languages.

    • Java is platform-independent, while C and C++ are platform-dependent.

    • Java uses automatic memory management (garbage collection), while C and C++ require manual memory management.

    • Java has built-in support for multithreading, while C and C++ require external libraries for multithreading.

    • Java has a simpler syntax compared to C and C++.

Interview Questionnaire

9 Questions

  • Q1. Questions are related to knowledge of basics of Mechanical engineering. Whatever subjects we learn in four years of duration they will ask any questions related to that.
  • Q2. What is capillary action?;What is surface tension?; Explain wet to Water and mercury, What is weting and non weting fluid?;what is viscosity?
  • Ans.

    Capillary action is the ability of a liquid to flow in narrow spaces without the assistance of, or even in opposition to, external forces like gravity.

    • Capillary action occurs due to the combination of adhesive forces between the liquid and the surface it is in contact with, and cohesive forces between the liquid molecules.

    • Surface tension is the tendency of a liquid surface to minimize its surface area, caused by the co...

  • Q5. What is crowning of pulleys?; Advantages of belt drive over gear drive?;
  • Ans.

    Crowning of pulleys is the process of shaping the pulley's surface to a slight convex curve. Belt drives have advantages over gear drives.

    • Crowning of pulleys helps in maintaining proper belt alignment and prevents belt slippage.

    • It also helps in distributing the load evenly across the belt.

    • Belt drives are quieter, smoother, and require less maintenance than gear drives.

    • They also allow for more flexibility in terms of di...
