I was charged with the responsibility of counseling any number of maladjusted employees, most of whom would booze a lot and not care for their families.

More often than not, I would involve the wife and significant others like a good friend of the family who would be well known as averse to any type of booze, for decades.

Since such a person would also chip in and add to the positive side of effects such as the person saving more money by slowly changing his booze patterns, the employee would come around and normally break down after four sessions of counseling, as he would be shamed in a somewhat rural environment. The society pressures would increase as time goes on and I was able to see a significantly higher percentage of women who would actively take part in reforming the husband

My role as a Deputy Manager Training and Counseling has  major responsibility of counseling workmen regularly in a rural industrial environment. This also includes family counseling, wherever essential. The need for such counseling arises becuase the rural environment near Tuticorin has many maladjuated workmen who are addicted to booze and to constantly buying lottery tickets as well. Furthermore, there is a huge demand for counseling children of workmen on their careers or housewives to take up small entrepreneurship and so on. I had a very comprehensive role here. My training responsibility was a huge responsibility as it involved building of all competencies and skill-sets.
