Dr. Christian gram was the scientist, who discovered gram staining to identify the difference between gram positive and gram negative bacteria on the basis of their cell wall by using VIAS( crystal violet, Indole, ethyl alcohol and saffrenine ).

We are using SCDA and SDA to identify the biodiversity of bacteria and fungus respectively.

But ,we are using XLDA and CA to identify the presence of Salmonella and Pseudomonus respectively. I.e to check the pathogens.

Sterilization: Completly eradication of microbes from the surface of objects by using physical and chemical methods.

Sterilization types:

Physical Sterilization:- Dry heat Sterilization(hot air oven),moist heat Sterilization(Autoclave),radiation, filtration etc.

Chemical sterilization:- gaseous sterilization(ozone), liquid sterilization(hydrogen peroxide)
