Interview Preparation Tips

Round: Technical + HR Interview
Experience: I explained that I know C,C#,Java,.Net and I can work with these languages and do coding. In the second question I explained why I want to join the organization, what is good in the organization and in which areas I want to work that the organization is good in.
Tips: Be confident and speak technically correct.

Round: Case Study Interview
Experience: I analysed the case and came up with recommendations and assumptions. I finally submitted the conclusion on the case.
Tips: Read the case properly when it is given.

Interview Preparation Tips

Round: Resume Shortlist
Experience: My resume was shortlisted based on my academics in my engineering college. Generally the company shortlists candidates with a CGPA more than 8.5/10
Tips: Always keep your resume short, preferably one side of a page.
It should be to the point. Do not write big and complex sentences since the interviewers do not have all day to read your resume.
Stress on relevant achievements rather than a long list which include achievements that will not have a significant impact on the interviewer.
Follow reverse chronological order while listing your credentials
Often resume templates found on the internet tend to have a objective at the beginning. Do not copy paste the objective in your resume. Write only if it comes from your heart and you are crystal clear about your objective. Otherwise do not write it.

Round: Test
Experience: The questions were fairly easy. Synonym Antonym type.
Mental ability question level was moderate.
Tips: Do not take the written test lightly. Start practicing early preferably 3-4 months before the start of placement season.
Duration: 1 hr minute
Total Questions: 50

Round: Group Discussion
Experience: This was the most interesting round. The discussion took place in a organised way.
Tips: Take time to understand the topic properly. Do not be in a hurry to start speaking as soon as the topic is disclosed.
Understand the way in which the jury wants you to discuss the topic.
Generally its good if you can begin the discussion. But do not worry if someone else preempts. I did not begin the discussion :)
While discussing do not keep glancing at the judges. Pretend as if they do not exist.
Contrary to general perception that the one who speaks the most (or the loudest) gets through, doing this can actually get you into trouble. Speak when you have a valid and a coherent point, something that takes the discussion in a positive direction. Be a good listener. Listening can probably help you come up with something useful and impressive. Try to conclude or summarize the discussion. Again do not fret if you don't. I did not summarize at the end :)
Duration: 1 hr minute

Interview Preparation Tips

Interview preparation tips for other job seekers - Everyone is probably going to say that be confident, prepare well etc.. Well, these things matter a lot, but there are a couple of other things that I would like to mention.
1. Fluency with language:
Many people mistake fluency with the speed at which they talk. Well, that's not the case. Speaking at a slow pace is not going to cause any damage to you in an interview. It will also help you think much more before you speak.
2. Being honest:
Believe me, everyone of us wants to impress the interviewer by trying to answer everything that they ask. But at that time, if you think that you can outsmart the interviewer by lying about that you know a particular answer and just can't recollect it now, then maybe you are making a fool of yourself. Be honest, as simple as that. I have experienced this myself. I just simply refused to answer certain questions that I didn't knew and the interviewer actually praised me for being honest and I cracked the interview.
