IIT Kanpur PHD Student Interview Questions and Answers

(1) Selection on the basis of statement of purpose of joining PhD.
(2) Previous qualification (degrees) percentages.
(3) Gate score for PhD in Engineering fields (Not Mandatory for admission after the M.Tech)
(4) I filled all above details in the application form.
(5) I described my research interest which was recent research area. (This was the most important thing in my application form)

Output : Selected on the basis of previous good colleges and good percentages and described my interest in recent research area.

Ans. (1)After admission in IIT Kanpur, you should get good marks in courses taken by you. (2) After that in mechanical, there is comprehensive written exam and comprehensive oral exam (Interview exam). (3) Then after clearing it, it tells you about final selection as a PhD candidate in the IIT Kanpur. (As in industries, employees are given training and then tests are to be cleared.
