Basics of Mechanical Engineering. No Math or english. Mainly on Man.tech, Design of Machine elements, Materials and Design and slightly on flu.mech and thermal power engineering.
Duration: 45 minutes
Total Questions: 50

General Tips: For core, they mainly ask on your internship work in your interviews. Also some questions on course projects you write in your resume. You will have an advantage if you have done some other projects. You should be able to tell the outline of your BTP. They select people based on the knowledge you have, related to the profile they want to recruit. If your Intern or course work is related to what the company seeks, you have good chances of getting selected.
For Core, Work mainly on Man tech, Thermo D, Heat transfer. Strength of materials is must. Terminology in design should be looked. Turbo machines mainly about pumps and characteristics. All flu mech definitions like what is fully developed flow, what is potential flow etc should be studied.

KDOMS, Man.Tech, Design of Machine Elements, Turbo machines, Thermo Dynamics and Heat Tranfer. Little on R&AC which can be asked any time. Strength of materials is basic and you should be thorough with that. I didn't put much fight for them. I attended some interviews.

For Non-Core prepare based on profile. Most non-core interviews demand strong resume points and good communication. Puzzles and math for any analytics profile. Coding fundaes must for any software profile. Concentrate mainly on HR and interview skills for non-core.
Skill Tips: From Design of machine elements, shaft design, hardness tests, Pump and Turbine characteristics, Rankine cycle, Iron carbide diagram, Man tech, casting forming , defects, etc.
