  • Q1. What are the motors used for Electrical Vehicles ?
  • Q2. Why in case of DC machine , Field pole arrangement is on stator and Armature Winding on Rotor ? what happens if reverse ?
  • Q3. Why stability is improved using decreasing reactance in power flow equations ?
  • Q4. Why IGBT is Voltage source and BJT is current source device ?
  • Q5. In IGBT , Voltage across Gate to source will controlled the performance of IGBT i.e More charge carriers will available as Gate Source voltage increased. Hence Voltage controlled device.
  • Ans.

IGBT is a voltage-controlled device where the performance is influenced by the voltage across the gate and source.

    • IGBT stands for Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistor.

    • The voltage across the gate and source controls the conductivity of the IGBT.

    • Increasing the gate-source voltage allows more charge carriers to be available, enhancing the device's performance.
