I appeared for an interview before Mar 2024, where I was asked the following questions.
Scheduled banks are recognized by the RBI, while unscheduled banks are not. Both serve different functions in the banking system.
Scheduled banks are included in the Second Schedule of the Reserve Bank of India Act, 1934.
Unscheduled banks do not meet the criteria set by the RBI and are not listed in the Second Schedule.
