Interview Preparation Tips

Round: Technical + HR Interview
Experience: It started with tell me about yourself and though the job was unrelated to my subject, the interviewer kept asking questions about the core subjects I've studied. It was a small 5 to 7 questions type of interview.
Tips: I'll suggest everyone that the most important thing is to remain calm and answer honestly. Don't hesitate to admit that you dont like core and want to switch to computers or consultancy. Do not try to hide things when asked about. Be fluent while speaking and always answer softly. If it is a pressure interview then make sure don't start to raise your pitch while talking because later it will harm you
All the best

Interview Preparation Tips

Round: Test
Experience: It was a computer based online test. There were 4 sections. They tested your analytical and verbal skills. You had stipulated time within which you had to complete the test. Wrong answers carried negative marks. The sections had quants, reasoning, passages, sentence correction and fill in the blanks.
Tips: You need to speed up your problem solving skills. Only attempt questions where you are sure about your answer.
Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes
Total Questions: 100

Round: Technical + HR Interview
Experience: The panel consisted of one member.
Since I am from mechanical background, he asked me questions regarding my area of interest and followed my resume carefully. All the details in my resume were questioned and verified. He checked my speaking skills. Once he was done with my resume, he shifted towards coding and computer basics. The technical and HR interview was conducted by the same person.
Tips: Keep calm and answer straight to the point. Make your resume crisp and short.
