4 Interview Rounds
Interview Preparation Tips
Round: Test
Experience: One hour test consisted of 25 quantitative questions and 25 technical questions . Quantitative part touched everything like time and work , time and distance etc . This part was easy but slightly time taking , Technical part mainly consisted of 12th standard physics , strength of materials and thermodynamics . A simple logic behind every question . Physics and Thermodynamic questions were easy compared to strength of material . Total 9 students were shortlisted for interview , Cut off was 7 CGPA .
Duration: 60 minutes
Round: Technical Interview
Experience: Total 2 Technical and 1 HR interview -
In first one three practical problems related to 3 diff topics
1 - Swing and reverse swing of cricket ball.
2 - Heat transfer problem related to boiling point variation with respect to pressure
3 - Stress vs No of Cycles curve explanation
In b/w asked some basics
2nd interview was HR , 3rd covered projects and industrial training , he asked which area i did not like , i told material science . Later some questions in that area like Iron Carbide Diagram , diff b/w heat treatment and heat working .
Round: HR Interview
Experience: Interestingly i got a rapid fire round technical questions like what is fatigue , creep , toughness, examples of brittle materials , ductile materials , after that asked about my educational background , asked for the situations in which friends praised me a lot , How can you say that you have good leadership qualities .
General Tips: Be strong at basics , All the Best .

Interview Preparation Tips
Round: Test
Experience: The total written test was for 1 hour.There were 2 sections- aptitude and technical.
In aptitude questions were on :-probability,time & work,Time & distance,age,logical reasoning,numbers,profit & loss etc.
Technical questions :-from basic intermediate physics (rotation,force-Motion,friction etc),mechanics of solids,heat transfer,kinematics,thermal machines. paper was not tough.You need to be very fast to crack it.
Duration: 60 minutes
Round: Technical Interview
Experience: There were 2 technical interviews.In first round questions were asked from strength of materials,turbo machines,vibrations,FEA,heat transfer,material science,design of machine elements,kinematics,fluid mechanics.Since I mentioned DME,FEA,Vibrations as my area of interest,few practical situations were given on these subjects and was asked to solve right in front of them.I had to derive the formulas,draw figures and graphs.As far as I remember I was made to use around 15 A4 size papers for these.Then they asked about all the projects/training that I had in all 4 years.They went into very depth in it.Even they checked my project reports. In second round they concentrated mainly on my project works(industrial as well as final year project),industrial training,software knowledge(MATLAB,PROE,AUTOCAD,ANSYS etc),about whatever prizes I had won in technical contests. With the available papers,pens,refills I was asked to demonstrate some models.

Experience: It was for 20-30 min.Questions were :- tell me about yourself,why i want to join the company,what i know about the company,leadership experience,team work experience,type of difficulties faced in these and how I solved them,hobbies,interests,strengths,weakness.
