Salary Expectations

I am a Social Media Specialist with over 4 years of experience and was earning around 4.5 LPA in my previous role. When I joined my current organization, I discovered that my manager, with just 2.5 years of work experience, was earning a compensation of 7.6 -8.2 LPA (approx). This was quite surprising to me, and it made me question the market standards. I am currently looking to switch roles and, based on my research through Glassdoor and other sources, I am expecting a package of 7-8 LPA. However, many HRs I’ve spoken to feel that even 6 LPA is too high. What should be the ideal salary expectation for someone with my experience in the current market?

Young Horizons School has been extremely supportive in all kind of situations. Be it covid or the Amphan cyclone, the school authorities have been very caring, they were constantly in touch with me during my time of crisis. Although the appraisals were cancelled due to the covid situation which is understandable.

Dislikes

There are not many negative things about the school as of now.
