1.London Branch salary- it's basically minimum wage if you don't have experience at bank. They usually hire people on working holiday visas and pay them cheap wages. Even whey they say they'll sponsor your visa, you have to pay for it yourself. Also, salaries are pretty much the same as other Korean banks- they seem to collude on that! 2.Working culture- The hierarchy is insane, and the culture is all top-down. There is barely any structure or system in the company. you learn nothing! 3.Korean expats- The Korean expats don't really show respect to the local employees 4.HQ Dependency- you constantly have to follow orders and report everything to HQ in Korea. Double amount of work. Time waste. 5. Leave days- The annual leave is way less than the UK average. only 21 days! 6.Basic salary- The basic salary is too low that you can barely get a decent mortgage, making it almost impossible to buy a house 7.Gossip on your back- Expats are making gossip on you through messages each others.

Working in Woori Bank have been both funnny and miserable. I joined in the year 2018, where i was informed that please come to office before half an hour before the schedule. our work schedule is from 9.00 am to 6.00 pm. However my manager informed me to come early until you get confirmation and koreans like very much if your come early. Then it become a practice.

With regard to promotion. There is no policy, just like propreitorship company, if the koreans like someone they will be promoted irrespective of the capability and skills one possess.

The working culture is strictly disciplined which is good for developing a ambitious life. Career wise, it more over multitasking expectation from employee

The profile provided to me was challenging. I love the fact that the Koreans are process oriented and are driven. They do not hesitate to innovate and strengthen the process for better business.

Dislikes

The fact that they blindly believe the senior employee of the bank. Hierarchy and seniority is only the priority and they blindly believe those employees even though they might be wrong.
