Salary Expectations

I am a Social Media Specialist with over 4 years of experience and was earning around 4.5 LPA in my previous role. When I joined my current organization, I discovered that my manager, with just 2.5 years of work experience, was earning a compensation of 7.6 -8.2 LPA (approx). This was quite surprising to me, and it made me question the market standards. I am currently looking to switch roles and, based on my research through Glassdoor and other sources, I am expecting a package of 7-8 LPA. However, many HRs I’ve spoken to feel that even 6 LPA is too high. What should be the ideal salary expectation for someone with my experience in the current market?

The organisation doesn't have any ethics and culture. They do not have any plan in company future, proposals, obtaining jobs. They put blame on others and layoff without any reasons. Chennai office engineering manager doesn't have any qualification and mis-lead the employees with fake promises and do really cheap act.
