Salary Expectations

I am a Social Media Specialist with over 4 years of experience and was earning around 4.5 LPA in my previous role. When I joined my current organization, I discovered that my manager, with just 2.5 years of work experience, was earning a compensation of 7.6 -8.2 LPA (approx). This was quite surprising to me, and it made me question the market standards. I am currently looking to switch roles and, based on my research through Glassdoor and other sources, I am expecting a package of 7-8 LPA. However, many HRs I’ve spoken to feel that even 6 LPA is too high. What should be the ideal salary expectation for someone with my experience in the current market?

...ger is very arrogant and dont think even 1% about employee. Helpless management. Salary is not at all close to industry standards. I was working as a intern over there and when i completed 6 months of my internship they did'nt gave me the good salary and when i asked for that they told me this is the criteria for all who completes internship and when i asked for resignation because i dont wanna do work at that salary they told me that we have made you permanent and you have to serve 2 months notice period. Means how the hell Webtrills can do that, i have not signed permanent offer letter, i havent got any mail of getting permanent then how can they make me permanent forcefully. i resigned over there and till now they are not giving me my last month salary and my internship certificates. So please don't go.
