Open to learning new things constantly, right from management to Sales executives

Dislikes

Culture of getting things done in whatever manner possible. They use shady techniques to get deals and often push the employees in the same manner. There is also a lack of understanding of reality with the Top Management. Since it is a Family run business, you are most likely to be sacked before they take action on their own underperforming assets.

I am a Social Media Specialist with over 4 years of experience and was earning around 4.5 LPA in my previous role. When I joined my current organization, I discovered that my manager, with just 2.5 years of work experience, was earning a compensation of 7.6 -8.2 LPA (approx). This was quite surprising to me, and it made me question the market standards. I am currently looking to switch roles and, based on my research through Glassdoor and other sources, I am expecting a package of 7-8 LPA. However, many HRs I’ve spoken to feel that even 6 LPA is too high. What should be the ideal salary expectation for someone with my experience in the current market?
