Job security is zero here.

Dislikes

Boss here is a horrible person. He doesn’t even cares for the basic necessities of his employees. Job security is zero here. Suddenly one day he would ask to leave you your job in the middle of a pandemic without any prior notice and wouldn’t even pay you for the month you have worked for.

I am a Social Media Specialist with over 4 years of experience and was earning around 4.5 LPA in my previous role. When I joined my current organization, I discovered that my manager, with just 2.5 years of work experience, was earning a compensation of 7.6 -8.2 LPA (approx). This was quite surprising to me, and it made me question the market standards. I am currently looking to switch roles and, based on my research through Glassdoor and other sources, I am expecting a package of 7-8 LPA. However, many HRs I’ve spoken to feel that even 6 LPA is too high. What should be the ideal salary expectation for someone with my experience in the current market?
