Good working opportunity But salary given to a Manager is far far lesser than even a Dy.Mgr.

Higher management of power is worst. No mental peace No work life balance Management expects everything to be done in no time and you won't get any subordinate or team.

There is nothing to like about this company except starting salary(which will seem very less in few years when no promotion will be given to you).

There is a list of thing to hate about this company. First of all, the biggest mistake of my life is to join vedanta aluminium. Its been more than a year for me working here but i have not learned anything technical here because no proper training is being given here to new joinees. They will just start to give you work without teaching you anything. They will make you do the work of a supervisor here where no engineering will be used. If you really are an engineer, this place is not for you. Work culture is worst here. The culture here is to get the thing done from businees partners and they will be give you so much work load that you will get no time for learning any technical thing. You will be kept very busy in managing and supervision. From growth perspective, this place is very bad. You will be 8 to 12% increment every year( if you are getting average rating, then you wont get any increment), and it will take atleast 5 year to get a promotion which my go upto 14 years. I have seen some of my seniors who havent got any promotion since 14-15 years. Considering all the things in mind, i would like to tell you that this is not at all a good place to work. If you truly believe in yourself that you can do something good in your life, do not join this company. It will make your life miserable.

Initial compensation is better compared to Industry avaerage

Work-life balance is terrible. Emphasis on female empowerment at the expense of male counterparts. Top management is clueless about the happenings at the ground level. Promotions are not based on merit. You need to do some things off duty to impress your reporting manager (offering them booze etc)

1. Salary is OK comparatively 2. You will be given responsibility at early stages. 3. Being a MNC it works with tol class consultant and follow all ESG standards. So exposure is good. 4. Good for initial start up but not for long term. 5. Good township facilities.

1. Carrer growth is quite stagnant. 2. Failure of HR strategy when it come for employees career growth. 3. Chances of department change is zero if you are performing good. HR may defend this point as some do change their department. But the reason is they are non performer and all departments like to change them. 4. In the name of women promotion at workplace, the real person who works, is left with its promotions and benefits due. 5. Engineers who run the plant in Operation and maintenance job get less exposure to senior management which affects their promotion and rating. Where as a person who work in office comes in time and leave office in time, get exposure to interact with management, have high chance of promotion and good rating than a engineer standing near a machine to run it with unavailability of spares and resources. Top level management need to look after it. 6. Appraisal system need to be improved. 360 degree view is necessary along with all stakeholders for one's rating. 7. Company should go in increment percentage system rather than 4 type of grading system which is unfair. 8. Following of system/protocol is too much and hampers the operation efficiency.
