Salary Expectations

I am a Social Media Specialist with over 4 years of experience and was earning around 4.5 LPA in my previous role. When I joined my current organization, I discovered that my manager, with just 2.5 years of work experience, was earning a compensation of 7.6 -8.2 LPA (approx). This was quite surprising to me, and it made me question the market standards. I am currently looking to switch roles and, based on my research through Glassdoor and other sources, I am expecting a package of 7-8 LPA. However, many HRs I’ve spoken to feel that even 6 LPA is too high. What should be the ideal salary expectation for someone with my experience in the current market?

It is a French based company. They love our Indian culture and specialy our traditional hand embroidery techniques. That's the reason they have started in Chennai. I love the ambiance , I love the staffs and love the work, every day I got new things to learn which makes me very interesting. It's was very good experience to work with this company. Due to health issues I was not able to continue.

Due to my health issues I left my job.
