Dislikes

Its not the place for experienced professionals. Its more like school. The organisation is run by two senior management people who treat the employees very inhumanly. You will have good projects to work but your learning will greatly hampered by the fragile ego of these two senior management people.

Likes

The organization UMC is full of dehumanized people. They take projects from the govt funds from big philanthropy they do pilot projects nicely but takes life, mental peace, self respect of employees. After pilot projects they invest all the energies in publishing that they are not concerned for the people for whom project was done. They make manual scavengers pose for photographs, they are into a very undignified work, but morality and ethics has no value. The other office outside Ahmedabad work environment is ok as MM are not there, those offices are managed by State heads and not MM.

Dislikes

There is a lot of power practice over employees specially the once coming from weaker background. The two lady bosses shout at people for their poor English without realizing many state schools are still running in local language. They are true oppressors. they insult employees infront of others. Their human values are too low. They come from very priviledged background and do not understand personal life problems of others. Employees are denied chuttis, they are made to take work home after office hours very frequently. They are understaffed, people join and leave in less than 3 months. They are very strict about timing even if you have urgency you cant leave before 7:30pm you will really have to beg for it if urgent.
