University of Otago PHD Researcher salaries in India

The university is actually the second worst that I have worked in, second only to a Saudi Arabian university. I have had the pleasure of working in both Asian (Indian and Korean) and European universities and I think the standard of University of Otago is well below par. The only aspect that I could say that I liked was that some individual faculties are good with good research potential and aspirations.

Dislikes

The university is not at all supportive of research and only aspires to acquire overhead costs from external funds and tuition fee from students. I will not recommend University of Otago for (research based) doctoral and postdoctoral studies since there is not much potential in skill development and learning. The doctoral students do not even have courses for theoretical knowledge acquirement. Researchers, particularly non-resident researchers do not have a future and I recommend them not to join for postdoctoral and above positions.
