it has potential to be the top college in Mysore due to government set up , and lack of basic facilities provided by UoM. It is a very good institute for students to prosper but not for faculty/ office staff.

I was research scholar under General Merit Upper caste and qualified All India selection test to acquire a PhD seat there. However, there was no one to take me as a PhD candidate or No guide was willing to supervise me. As the culture is extremely cast and religion based. In addition I was not given guest lectureship and stipend because I was considered as outsider. Having said that, there was one Professor whom I have utmost respect his name was Prof D S Guru. Who allowed me in his regular academic classes where I polished my understanding. I thank him from my bottom of my heart. Rest highly cast based culture.

The place and the larger atmosphere is good as well as the administrative branch.

Working here was not a good experience, as being a non-native there was expectation to speak in Kannada for a master's course in International Relations. There is definite gender discrimination, from the other colleagues as well as the student community. If you are a man from Karnataka, working here wouldn't be a problem for you.
