Salary Expectations

I am a Social Media Specialist with over 4 years of experience and was earning around 4.5 LPA in my previous role. When I joined my current organization, I discovered that my manager, with just 2.5 years of work experience, was earning a compensation of 7.6 -8.2 LPA (approx). This was quite surprising to me, and it made me question the market standards. I am currently looking to switch roles and, based on my research through Glassdoor and other sources, I am expecting a package of 7-8 LPA. However, many HRs I’ve spoken to feel that even 6 LPA is too high. What should be the ideal salary expectation for someone with my experience in the current market?

You get to learn alot.

its everything . you are learning but at your own cost. They don't give you salary at time. They don't even increase your salary even after a great performance and still even though it is a startup it needs 3 month notice period. You work so much hard and you get nothing . you have to just work work work and you get nothing in return and they keep 3-4 months salary pending on purpose so incase u leave the organization without serving notice period then they wont pay your pending salaries. They can even get closed anytime I think.
