Great environment to learn and you get to take lots of responsibilities
Dislikes
Company culture, delayed appraisals, less holidays, higher variable pay component in salaries, lesser allowances for site and sales engineers
No Importance/respect given to field service Engineers from own company.Newly joined people need to check your salary structure properly.variable pay is added in package.you should ask HR for in hand salary
What can I say. One of the best companies I've worked so far. Working culture is good. Seniors will actually mentor u to make a better Engineer, you will constantly demanded to get better n sharpen your skills. At times of emergencies you will be treated like a human being and given much importance to ur safety. One of the most best quality bi loved. Work is interesting. All are chill n cool actually enjoyed working there.
Likes about the company is that few managers, like mine, were really good in nature and very supportive. You get a good exposure here compared to many of the organizations in India. The reason is because there are no standard operating procedures and you get to do all the work yourself unlike in MNCs where there are dedicated teams for specific work areas.
...ention bonus which is not considered as part of CTC when you switch the company. Since, freshers are not aware about the salary structure, they end up getting cheated. Even if you ask any doubt about it to the HR during the interview or after joining the company (as a fresher) you will not get any response but instead they will scold you and demean you (happened with one of my friend). They keep all you original documents if you get selected in the final interview at Bangalore so that you may not seek any other opportunity and keep them for 5 years. The HR department is a "Goons" department. They are very unprofessional people and give no freedom to the GETs. Even if you try to seek any help from them ever during your employment, they will treat you very badly, scold you and demean you. If you even argue with them slightly, they will treat you as if you have done some kind of mutiny. When I joined the company, I though that the 2 years training will make me a very good turbine engineer. I did learnt a lot about turbines during this period, but not because of the training. It was because of my visiting the shop floor and learning from the fitters and engineers there. The person who gives the training is considered as a GOD and who gives trainings to the GETs thinks he is the most intelligent person. This guy has no design or R&D background. Still he will declare the globally accepted research done many scientists as waste and wrong if he has some different understanding for certain principle/phenomenon. They tell you only the surface level stuff and if you try to ask them questions and go in detail again they will consider it as a mutiny and demean you. He is the person who removed a whole batch of IIT Madras because they couldn't perform (false statement) which later resulted in IIT Madras blacklisting Triveni Turbines. The work culture here is the worst. They don't have any operating procedures and whatever they have is useless and they don't even follow that. We used to call this company "Lala ki company" because of this attitude. They will not give proper incentives (story with many companies). They make you sign the employment bond and then after 5 years if you leave they will treat you like shit. The HR department will demean you and insult you. They will not release you until you finish your complete notice period of 3 months even if you try to by out the notice period. They expect that the employees should not leave that toxic environment even after 5 years. Most of the people who join as GETs leave the company as soon as they complete 5 years. The reason is because of the bad work culture and because of the HR department goons. The mangers literally tell you not to mess with the HR or else he will spoil you life and you shall never get good appraisal. The biggest mistake is of the people sitting in the senor most position because they are allowing all these ill practices in the company......To the freshers, if you don't have any financial difficulties in the family, please don't join this company just because it is a core company. Think before signing the 5 years unrealistic bond. And to the people who have joined the company because of lack of guidance, no need to worry. Get yourself working in departments like marketing, projects or supply chain. You shall have a good scope in future. Even though there are so many bad things about this company, it still has a good name in the market. So, you will get a good opportunity after your 5 years.

Great place to learn about complete business, lead a team, explore new technology, markets and strategies through hands on approach. Company focuses on adopting benchmark industry practises and makes available the latest tools for use by the employee.
Although a hierarchy exists everyone is very approachable. New HR policies are encouraging and is a good change.
Work culture is pleasant and atmosphere is conducive for learning and fosters team spirit.
...ould be more transparent. Reward and recognition in the true sense must prevail. Compensation should be at par with industry benchmark. Promotions to promising candidates should be fasttracked.
