Salary Expectations

I am a Social Media Specialist with over 4 years of experience and was earning around 4.5 LPA in my previous role. When I joined my current organization, I discovered that my manager, with just 2.5 years of work experience, was earning a compensation of 7.6 -8.2 LPA (approx). This was quite surprising to me, and it made me question the market standards. I am currently looking to switch roles and, based on my research through Glassdoor and other sources, I am expecting a package of 7-8 LPA. However, many HRs I’ve spoken to feel that even 6 LPA is too high. What should be the ideal salary expectation for someone with my experience in the current market?

What I really appreciate working in TP Adhikari & Associates is that the work place is very friendly between both the top and down hierarchy. Everyone can learn with each others and work in a team.

Dislikes

...tenure there except one thing which I really disliked is that the HR management. HR management is very poor in respect of distribution of work and salary computation. No specific HR policy has been installed.
