New Job, Higher Pay, Now I’m Feeling Awkward

I’ve been at my new job for about six months now, and everything’s been going great! I’m getting positive feedback from my manager, and I get along well with the team. The thing is, when I started, my salary offer ended up being much higher than the initial number discussed during my interview. I didn’t negotiate and just accepted the offer. So, fast forward to happy hour with the team, and the topic of salary comes up. I, unfortunately, shared what I’m making, and let’s just say... it didn’t sit well with the others who have been on the team for years and make less than me. They weren’t mad at me, but now I’m feeling a bit uncomfortable and unsure how to handle this situation. Has anyone had something like this happen? How did you deal with it? Let’s chat!

Its a strange company , they hire random students & offer more salary than currently more experienced people who are working with them. No work life balance for sure , the amount of work we do is not monetarily recognized. Frequent firing of people & hiring random people due to some weird HR policies since they don't want to increase the size of team. Also they exploit freshers for a long time because they usually have a bond with the company. Join the company if you want your career to be ruined.

Good learning curve for a fresher. In the first year, you can derive as much experience you gain from a multinational in 2 years.

Dislikes

Not the right company for experienced people. The pay is downright insulting and they do penny pinching for the amount you earn. The incentive structure is a scam. They change it as per their needs. DO NOT JOIN THE COMPANY if you're experienced. They don't have any ambitions to grow.

Worst company ever working here taught me a lesson not to join pathetic company to work for. Don't spoil your bright future working here. from toxic environment to strictest (pointless) rules & regulations. from incompetent HR person & policies to poor tech framework . everything you can think of is wrong in the company.

There isn’t anything to like.

I joined as a fresher and I was called to the office very late and made to work on things without proper training. They give importance to only some colleges and don’t train the other freshers very well. Many people don’t like working here as the management tries to promote and give importance to people from those specific colleges.
