Salary Expectations

I am a Social Media Specialist with over 4 years of experience and was earning around 4.5 LPA in my previous role. When I joined my current organization, I discovered that my manager, with just 2.5 years of work experience, was earning a compensation of 7.6 -8.2 LPA (approx). This was quite surprising to me, and it made me question the market standards. I am currently looking to switch roles and, based on my research through Glassdoor and other sources, I am expecting a package of 7-8 LPA. However, many HRs I’ve spoken to feel that even 6 LPA is too high. What should be the ideal salary expectation for someone with my experience in the current market?

Learned a lot while the company was under different boss, whose ambition is to improve the company and not just business.

Dislikes

There is a (women-izer) as MD in the company now, that person doesn't recruit people to improve the company, he spends time with fresher girls only regardless of their knowledge. He brought the company down and still running it for time pass.
