Salary Expectations

I am a Social Media Specialist with over 4 years of experience and was earning around 4.5 LPA in my previous role. When I joined my current organization, I discovered that my manager, with just 2.5 years of work experience, was earning a compensation of 7.6 -8.2 LPA (approx). This was quite surprising to me, and it made me question the market standards. I am currently looking to switch roles and, based on my research through Glassdoor and other sources, I am expecting a package of 7-8 LPA. However, many HRs I’ve spoken to feel that even 6 LPA is too high. What should be the ideal salary expectation for someone with my experience in the current market?

Had applied for the QA profile. got assessment to submit. After submitting an assessment, HR will call you to explain the company policies and regulations. you'll be treated like, U R SELECTED.. after few days, got a rejection mail. It's just to utilize the free knowledge and skillset of experienced people (in the name of assessment), and later they'll use it in their company process.
