Unexpected job policies: stay or switch?
I recently switched jobs with a 48% hike, and my current in-hand salary is ₹35K. But after joining, I realized a few important things that weren’t mentioned during the interview. 1. No Phones or Bags Allowed – We have to keep them in lockers, which I wasn’t informed about before joining. 2. Working Saturdays – HR said all Saturdays are working but assured that one Saturday off per month would be introduced soon. I can't see that happening anytime soon 3. Phone Policy Confusion – When I asked HR why this wasn’t discussed earlier, they said it’s only for two months and won’t be the case at the new location (which was discussed earlier). But some old employees say the same rule applies there too. 4. Leaves – We get 21 paid leaves a year. I’m already thinking of switching. Would it be too soon to leave within 3 months, or should I stay for at least 6 months? Also, since I just got a good hike, how much can I ask for in my next job?

Fantastic learning culture. I had excellent managers who I am still in touch with. They guide, encourage & brought out the best in me. Also exposure to customer meetings when I was just 2-3 years experience so company shows trust in their employees.

Dislikes

Very low salaries. I didn't get any promotions during my tenure. Management informed this beforehand since there were no project bookings in our new division but still it was a bit discouraging.

Wirk culture and managers are approachable. Knowledge growth.

Dislikes

Improper salary increments and incentives. Good worker will get lower hike and average worker can get good incentives and increments. Totally salary hike increments incentives these are all very mystery in this organization.

No personal life for site engineer. Worker 12 + yours, also work on Sunday. Lots of politics. Safety standards is only on book nothing apply at site.

...re working hard & from long time to them not making permanant. So less benifits.Experience wise there is no salary structure. Some time more experience man getting less salary.
