Salary Expectations

I am a Social Media Specialist with over 4 years of experience and was earning around 4.5 LPA in my previous role. When I joined my current organization, I discovered that my manager, with just 2.5 years of work experience, was earning a compensation of 7.6 -8.2 LPA (approx). This was quite surprising to me, and it made me question the market standards. I am currently looking to switch roles and, based on my research through Glassdoor and other sources, I am expecting a package of 7-8 LPA. However, many HRs I’ve spoken to feel that even 6 LPA is too high. What should be the ideal salary expectation for someone with my experience in the current market?

Nothing. I haven't come across such a terrible, unethical, ill-cultured, ill-mannered owner led company. Your contract and any document holds no value here. Beware.

Dislikes

Everything. Culture will mentally damage you. Mannerless owners and senior. No appreciation, no salary raise, no benefits, intentional delayed salary, they make employees work like maniacs and it doesn't stop here. On top of that they will torture and speak in cheap and shallow way. Please don't waste your time. You don't get any experience letters, no salary hike, salary is anyways petty, no learnings, only torture. They have even started to put fake reviews online. Please don't trust any positive review it's totally fake. Two unethical inhumane people are running this, so please invest your time in a company where your learn and grow.
