Salary Expectations
I am a Social Media Specialist with over 4 years of experience and was earning around 4.5 LPA in my previous role. When I joined my current organization, I discovered that my manager, with just 2.5 years of work experience, was earning a compensation of 7.6 -8.2 LPA (approx). This was quite surprising to me, and it made me question the market standards. I am currently looking to switch roles and, based on my research through Glassdoor and other sources, I am expecting a package of 7-8 LPA. However, many HRs I’ve spoken to feel that even 6 LPA is too high. What should be the ideal salary expectation for someone with my experience in the current market?

I got to work on more things beyond my job description.

Dislikes

Didn't get paid 6 month's salary, and somehow, the boss made it seem like I'm the one at fault for wanting to leave the company. Also, worked with some terrible colleagues and overall poor work culture. While the experience started positive, it became negative over time.
