Salary Expectations

I am a Social Media Specialist with over 4 years of experience and was earning around 4.5 LPA in my previous role. When I joined my current organization, I discovered that my manager, with just 2.5 years of work experience, was earning a compensation of 7.6 -8.2 LPA (approx). This was quite surprising to me, and it made me question the market standards. I am currently looking to switch roles and, based on my research through Glassdoor and other sources, I am expecting a package of 7-8 LPA. However, many HRs I’ve spoken to feel that even 6 LPA is too high. What should be the ideal salary expectation for someone with my experience in the current market?

The only thing I liked about this company are the people. They are way friendly and really helpful in each and every part. For all the departments I am saying this, except it's MD Mr. Sanjay.

Dislikes

One of the worst employee that this company have is the MD Mr. Sanjay, Oh My God!! He's such a ****** I don't wanna say that word as he is a oldie but he really deserve it. I mean sometimes I feel the CEO Mr. Naresh is actually running a dhaba with a Sous Chef in it named as Sanjay. If you want career and money growth please don't join this company. Toxic culture, toxic MD.
