Job security is great at TCS and there are opportunities to grow. There's a fair work life balance and good health insurance for employees and their dependants.

Dislikes

The salary scale is too low even for people who are experienced and promotions and hikes take too long. It's very difficult to identify a good project or a unit to work for and if you are not comfortable in a particular project, it's almost impossible to get a release.

Likes

Love the team I worked with, I've enjoyed working with my team. Managers also stayed with us till late night when we had crisis and rewarded us after our project was success.

If you're a fresher and from non CSE background, tcs gives you enough time and opportunities to learn and get hands-on experience.

Dislikes

Organization simply does not match industry when it comes to salary hike. Since the base salary is a small figure usually ranging in between 3.3L to 3.6L single digit % hike does not make any significant difference.

Likes

Good work life balance, differs from project to project, excellent job security, probably one of the best companies to settle for till retirement.

Dislikes

Bad management - varies from account to account, poor compensation/hikes. Not suitable for extremely tech savvy professionals who want to constantly learn, grow and solve challenging problems. No formal training for freshers. No weekend allowance, you will get only a comp-off.

Likes

Work culture is amazing. Work life balance is also great. But with someone like me who needs work and wants to constantly learn, tcs wasn’t the place to start. It’s good for mid level careers, not for freshers.

Dislikes

No hikes, no motivation, no appraisals, shit salary. Failure to recognize true potential from right employee
